Shelley brings a sense of warmth and caring to her practice and believes in the power of compassion for health and healing.

Her work emphasizes a systems approach. “We function within the systems around us and are influenced by them; family, work, school, and health for example. I focus on cognitive behavioral techniques helping you with insights on how your thoughts are influencing your emotions and environment. I allow you the setting you need to process through your thoughts and emotions. Mind and body techniques are often integrated for stress reduction such as relaxation techniques, guided imagery and hypnosis. At times, I look at how potential health matters may be affecting you emotionally.

I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. The scope of my practice includes and is not limited to; individual, couple and family therapy; depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, addictions, abuse issues, relationship issues, communication, behavioral medicine, pain management, health habits, stress reduction, anger management, goal setting and self-esteem.”
